1/15/2004 - DAY OF INFAMY SET LA, NY SHOWCASES; PUT PROFESSIONAL SUPPORT TEAM IN PLACE

Hot new Orlando. FL-based rock band DAY OF INFAMY will perform full-concert showcases on both coasts, it was announced by their manager James Currin. The four-piece group of teenaged musicians will appear in Los Angeles at the Whiskey on Sunday, February 22 and in New York City at S.I.R. on Wednesday, March 17. This will be the band’s debut concert in each city; they have already stirred the interest of several record labels . The performances are by invitation only and geared towards members of the music industry and fans of DAY OF INFAMY.

The band consists of Jeremy Morris (19) singer/bassist/songwriter, Jeff McMahan (15) rhythm guitarist, and brothers Michael van den Berg (16) lead guitarist and King van den Berg (11) drummer. Management is being handled by James Currin of Currin Entertainment. Himself a successful former session singer, Currin relocated to Orlando eight years ago to pursue artist management.

Additionally, Currin has named the members of the DAY OF INFAMY professional support team. Legal Representative is Ron Bienstock of entertainment and intellectual property law firm Bienstock & Michael P.C. The firm also represents artists such as Beth Hart, Dream Theater, Living Color, and Simple Plan, whose debut album was recently certified platinum. Radio Promotion will be conducted by Peter Hay of TwinVision (www.twinvision.net). In his 15 years as head of this top promotion firm, Hay has represented numerous labels and artists including Marianne Faithful, Bottle Rockets, and Alex Chilton. Publicity is being handled by ISL Public Relations. Company head Ida S. Langsam has worked with emerging artists and superstar bands including The Ramones, Kiss, Billy Idol and The Damned. Publicity and Promotional photography was created by Robert Caldarone, whose work has appeared in the pages of national publications such as People, the New York Times, Gear and Maxim.

A video for the debut DAY OF INFAMY single “Red Autumn” is currently in the works. Director of Photography will be Chuck Fishbein of Crazy Duck Productions. The Producer/Director has worked on films, video, DVDs and EPKs for some of the top artists in the industry, including Norah Jones, U2, Foo Fighters, and the annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame awards dinner. The song, written by signer Jeremy Morris, addresses the epidemic abuse – substance, domestic and verbal. “The career that I have chosen – music – gives me the ability to reach out and help or make a change, and I don’t want to waste that,” explains Morris. “If in my time on this earth I can positively affect or change someone’s life then I will have reached self-actualization. If it’s in my power, then I want to make a change.”

For a copy of “Red Autumn” or to RSVP for the LA or New York showcase, please contact Ida S. Langsam at ISL PR.
